Tata Housing Commits $36 Million to Premium Residential Projects in the Maldives

Tata Housing, a subsidiary of Tata Sons Pvt Ltd, has announced a strategic investment of approximately $36 million to develop two high-end residential projects in Malé, Maldives. The projects — located in the heart of the capital at Majeedhee Magu City Centre Road — will bring 117 luxurious three-bedroom apartments to the island, reinforcing the company’s long-term commitment to the region.
Set within Malé’s premier retail and residential district, the developments at Nadhee and Odean span a total area of 2.52 lakh square feet. These projects are being undertaken in collaboration with the Government of Maldives through a public-private partnership, further strengthening economic and infrastructural ties between India and the Maldives.
“We are excited to launch the second phase of our developments in the Maldives,” said Sanjay Dutt, Managing Director and CEO of Tata Housing and Tata Realty & Infrastructure Ltd. “This is a premier residential initiative, and we remain committed to delivering best-in-class living spaces that enhance the quality of life for our homebuyers. We are also grateful to the Maldivian government for its professionalism and investor-friendly approach.”
Dutt further emphasized the growing need for urban expansion in Malé: “The Maldives is progressing rapidly, yet Malé City still requires significant residential growth to match the rising aspirations of its citizens and support the island’s economic momentum. As a responsible real estate developer, we’re proud to contribute to that future.”
Following these developments, Tata Housing has also expressed intentions to explore further investment in island projects across the Maldives, signaling a broader vision for luxury and sustainable living in the archipelago.
